No. 13457
Several months ago, I posted about this game and how, in my opinion, the game will never be truly "complete". This was when Avian wanted to scrap his entire codebase and start fresh.
The demeanour of AvalonX in his journal posts is now at such a level, where I'd guarantee that a finished product (and not a rush job) will NEVER see the light of day.
He's bitching at his community, he doesn't want them to speak to him about release dates, etc. The only reason, is because he is embarrassed that he completely missed his dates before and feels guilty about letting people down. The only way to stop this in young people's mind is to attack everybody who questions him, in big capital letters and some overtly aggressive tone. Trust me, we've all been there before; me more times than i would care to remember. The maturity aspect of managing a popular project doesn't come until your third or fourth time round.
He has already let down his community, and now continues to bitch them out when he sees fit. This alone shows his complete lack of respect for the users of his product. If you don't have respect for your users, the only reason to build something is because of your own motivation, which as I said, they lost months ago.
The project has obviously become a bit of a burden. I'm happy to see Avian go off and do his own thing whilst he's waiting for Avalon (presuming that is the situation), as it shows a continued fascination with the art of crafting something and he'll only get better. It also is a stress relief when you have more than one project to concentrate on, so fair play to him. I still think that his RPG will be out long before Cream, unless Avalon decides to either get his shit together, or rushes things straight out. He'll do good things in the future
